Therapeutic Head Massage Course

Course cost: £99 early bird offer, £120 after March 31st.
This course is designed especially for therapists already trained in massage, sports massage and complementary therapies. You will learn a new standalone therapy to add to your list of treatments. Alternatively use your own unique style and creativity and add this on to treatments already offered. Either way you’ll learn valuable new skills and gain CPD points.
You will learn how to apply techniques in prone and supine, accessing areas of the upper back, neck, scalp and face. We will cover the major muscle groups that are involved in this massage, as well as learning effective ways to release muscle tension in the more superficial muscles. In so doing, you will gain confidence in providing a superior head massage that will leave your clients floating, relived of tension and deeply calm. During the course we will look at body mechanics to ensure you are working effectively and in a way that is comfortable for your body as well as the client’s.

Techniques
- Forearm effluerage
- Knuckling to upper back as well as the scalp
- Static pressures using the forearms and thumbs
- Passive stretching and traction
- Hair pulling – doesn’t sound great but feels amazing!
- Specialised facial massage technique
Location
Courses are held at Suite 3, Premier House, Garforth, Leeds, LS25 2LD. Your tutor runs a busy practice offering a range of services and has over 8 years experience. Group numbers are small so you will get the most from your day’s training. There is free on site parking, a kitchenette for your use plus a café serving hot drinks and snacks in the gym. There are stairs to get to the training room so do let me know if you have any accessibility requirements.
